Dream

My first card on this blog. I made this card for the Key Ingredients Challenge, but I forgot to take my downloading cable for my camera with me on our trip, so I missed the deadline for his challenge.

Lagoons Beach

Living at he farthest ends of the earth can be wonderful in many respects, but not if you are a card maker. Here there is no handy shop to run down to to pick up a few much needed supplies. I am becoming the internet shopping queen and my new 'best friends' are stores based in the United states  and the UK.
However on the pluside is the wonderful scenery, lack of crowds and unspoilt beaches. We visited one last week and the beauty of the place was breathtaking.

Beginning

The title over the hills and far away was inspired by the place i now call home. Having lived in three Australian states I now find myself well and truly rooted in a small community in North-East Tasmania. Here the hills rise and fall, providing wonderful scenery and gentle climate. The rich soil grows just about anything and the rainfall is about right. This area is magical for gardeners and craftpeople alike.
However there are drawbacks living in paradise. The remote location means that any art and craft supplies have to be ordered  from distant shores and postage costs and delivery times can be infuriating. If one is fortunate, goods can arrive within 10 days of shipping, others come more slowly, taking the scenic route. Despite these minor inconveniences, it is a wonderful place to live out ones years, surrounded by friends and loved ones.
